Dr. Laurenz Kellenberger, Chief Scientific Officer

Zurich (ETH Zurich). His scientific research continued at the University of Cambridge, UK, and at Hoffmann-La Roche, Basel, Switzerland where he held different positions in preclinical research and chemical technologies before joining Basilea in 2000. His expertise covers the range of synthetic organic and natural product chemistry to microbial molecular genetics and he is author of numerous scientific publications. At Basilea he held roles of increasing responsibility and served as Head of Chemistry and member of the research management team with responsibilities for key projects from lead finding and optimization through to preclinical development. He is a member of the Board of the Medicinal Chemistry division of the Swiss Chemical Society.
